The longest weekend

A VERY LONG WEEKEND....

Sunday:  Day 1, Monday:  Holiday Day 2
The pre-schooler had off from school on MLK Day and we went to a party w/family the day before.  A annual gathering so I don't see these people often.  The host's son and granddaughter live w/them.  Their family room was filled w/My Little Pony stuff and Barbie stuff.  When The Strong Willed Wonder went to play w/the toys the granddaughter got very upset so I took out the Kindle and SWW began watching Winnie The Pooh.  Turns out the granddaughter has OCD, and the way it was handled was unlike any one I have ever met w/a child who has an issue.  Usually the parents go out of their way to make sure the situation is comfortable for everyone and tell everyone about the health condition.  Two time outs later, my parents and I were exhausted and left the gathering.  We stayed overnight at my parents house and then my mom, the SWW and I went to a play cafe on MLK Day.

Tuesday:  Day 3
We had a huge snow storm that started around 10am so no school.

Wednesday:  Day 4
School Closed because of the snow.

Thursday:  YEAH!!  Back to school, MOMS club meeting for board members.  I'm secretary and can't wait for my time to be up.  I've been on the board for 2 years.  SWW tried her soccer/basketball class at the YMCA and left after 40 minutes.  Maybe scheduling a sports activity for the end of the week wasn't a smart move.

Friday:  Things are improving and I was able to go to the farmers market today (indoor so I can go all year, good for me w/MS), stocked up on fruit, vegetables, and meats.  It's so cold I just put the food in the car and went back inside.  I ordered breakfast and read my Kindle.

Saturday?  I scheduled a children's night out at the YMCA so we could have a date night since my husband has to go away for work :-( next week.  And wouldn't you know it?  It's supposed to snow again :-(.
