Fast Forward

Fast Fast Fast!  That's how things seem to be moving.  On FAST FORWARD!  My husband got his big job status thing that I have been going on and on about.  So as of January 1, he'll have his new status.  He gets a parking space which is isn't really a big deal at his plant, but some of the others are MUCH larger and you end up walking a few miles from your car to your office building or catch a shuttle the company provides.  He'll get a large quantity of stock and his own office vs. a cubicle.  Does it mean more money?  Not initially, it's really just a status thing.  It means that he falls within 1.5% of engineers at his branch who have his skill level area of expertise.  It means he won't be laid off.  It doesn't mean that they won't close the branch where he works which is our major fear since they seem to be growing in the south where it's hot and not that great for my MS self.  Schools are ok for the kindergartener.  Just 1 MS clinic with 1 specialist in the state and within a 3 hour driving distance.  Not to be political, but it's not a liberal state and I tend to be very liberal so in that way I'm not sure that I would be comfortable there.  The other option is across the US from with good schools, good medical stuff for my MS self, but it is ACROSS the US.  On the positive side things seem to be improving at the plant where my husband works so maybe I worry for nothing?

The Strong Willed Wonder has not been that oppositional lately :-).  She is strong willed, but she wants to please :-).  Love the maturing!  It's amazing!  I admit, I was not a huge fan of age 2 & 3.  I like being able to talk to her a lot more.  She does have ADHD and I have to accept it.  All I can do is pray she falls into that small percentage that outgrows it?  Or since she's so smart she can develop the coping mechanisms needed.  The husband is away this week, and I am so ready for his return which is NOT until Friday.  It's also VERY cold and I am SO happy our heater works!  Sometimes it's the little things in life :-).

I joined this group https://www.mops.org/ and it's been great!  A moms club that is different from the other one I'm in.  I'm not very religious person, I can't spout bible verses, but the moms in this group are so warm and welcoming.  That I CAN do.  It's about being a SAHM (which I am) and we talk about it from a different perspective.  The other one is more about partying and cliques which I am so done with. I finished that in high school.
