We are in full holiday mode in our little household. Lovey Girl is SO EXCITED about Christmas! Today we went to my old office where my dad and brother still work and she had the BEST time eating candy sitting on Uncle Bryan's lap and so on. We did the tree last weekend, it's very pretty. Cookies have been made with LG and she was a happy camper. Gifts have been purchased, I just have to wrap. We bought holiday gifts for two children, one 4 year old boy through my husbands job and the other a 13 year old foster child set up by the moms club.
The dog still lingers on. Incontinent and on anti-pee pills as well as arthritis medication, but she is still the food love dog. She can hardly get up and down stairs, but doesn't seem to be very upset. She is best pals with LG and sleeps in her room every night. Yes, we'll have to get a puppy relatively soon after our dog passes away, even though I wanted to have a dog hair free household for a while. Now, I'm googling small dogs that don't shed and are good with kids. When asked what she wants for Christmas all she says if a puppy.
I am slowly working on the house. My parents have been gifting my brother and I money as they do their wills and they would rather the money go to us than the government so we have the money for new doors :-)!!! We are getting a new front door, a new sliding door, and a new door to the laundry room. Right now we have the original doors from when the house was built 60 years ago. Wahoo, goodbye wood doors. At the little ones request I made her bedroom more grown up so the alphabet letters she made in pre-school came down and a new bedspread was purchased. The main colors are hot pink and orange. Decals were purchased with her name. She loves it. She's even been making her bed in the morning.
I do like 5 so much more than 2 and 3. I like being able to talk to her, I like her opinions, and that sort of thing.
I am feeling good overall. My health has been great! I have not had any MS issues :-). Am I jinxing it if I say I haven't had a relapse since 1999?
