Hi Everyone! We had our first snow day and I am so ready for it not to snow again. Life is good. I'm healthy, the strong willed wonder is doing great (my husband and I finally are able to do it), and life is quiet. I've been going to the YMCA every other day and it is making me a happy happy camper. What a difference endorphins make. I'm not trying to lose weight, just get stronger, and be healthy.
I have to accept that our family is complete even though I wanted 2 children. I'm still holding out mental hope that my good health will continue and I'll be able to suggest and older foster child when the strong willed wonder is older.
I am going to start looking for a part time job and am mulling over the YMCA since I go on a regular basis, people are nice, and the hours would be decent. Would I be earning the same sort of money I earned when I was working full time? Nope, but I would be interacting with people, and using my brain.
I've been getting the house redone to sell in the future. So we now have 3 new outside doors: front, side, and sliding door to patio. The hall bathroom is a bit dated, the tile is blue and the color isn't that bad it's the floor tiles that really scream 1960. We got an estimate to re-tile the bathroom, but it was more than we wanted to spend since this is not our forever house and the house 4 doors down sold for far less than it was worth since they were in the midst of a divorce and she wanted to be free of the house but screwed everyone else. Anyway, so we were able to rehab the vanity and we are going to splurge on granite for the sink counter, new lights, fresh paint, and vinyl floor over the dated tile. I was actually very surprised that vinyl isn't that terrible looking anymore, it's the shiny vinyl floors that are. We will install new bifold doors in the master bedroom and Lovey Girl's bedroom, repaint, and buy a new vanity for the master bath. This spring I will have the house power washed and a landscaper come and leave it in a very easy way so I CAN do the yard work myself :-) since Airplane man is just to busy all the time. He may have the best desires, but is not able to do it.
My dream? A town house where we have a 2 car garage, pay an HOA fee for lawn maintenance and shoveling, and all I have to take care of is the interior.
