So where to begin... Thanksgiving was pretty sucky. I went to my parents and my husband and daughter went to my MILs. I was only annoyed because my MIL wanted the little one to stay over night on Thankgiving night and my MIL lives an hour and a half away. What we had arranged for is to have my husband and daughter go to dinner which is really lunch because she serves at 1:00 and come to my parents house for dessert so my parents and brother would be able to see her. Anyway, my daughter and husband stayed overnight at my MILs house on Thanksgiving night, but I went home to an empty house because of the dog. Then the SWW was CRANKY because she had never been separated from us like that for the night, my husband got to listen to grandmother criticize us, saying that we don't discipline her enough and for her behavior. My husband lost his temper with Grandmother and told her that the SWW willed wonder has some emotional issues, we're going to therapy, I have anxiety issues, and we're doing our best to deal with all of it. She just said, "oh". So no Grandmother things are not all peachy keen in our house like they appear to the untrained eye. It took until Sunday for the SWW to return to normal and get some decent sleep. In the interim she was way cranky.
I have a call into a behavior therapy group. We'll see how that goes. The SWW is telling her teachers "no" when they ask her to do something. That may be ok in pre-school, but we have to get this behavior/strong willed business under control before kindergarten. I can't say to our potential kindergarten, can you please not give us a loosy goosy teacher so my kid follows the rules?
