Didn't know which way to turn now that we have the government insurance. I finally emailed a a friend who has 2 autistic children and lives nearby figuring she would have some ideas. And she did! The pre-schooler has an appointment with El.wyn for them to begin the initial evaluation. My husband sees her issues, but since he's able to handle her he's not bothered by her problems. Rose colored glasses? Yes! Of course he goes to work each day and gets to be productive and use his brain being an airplane engineer and all. He BTW is up for a promotion next year :-)!!
I got her to go to camp this morning :-)! Don't know about the pool, but I got a some errands out of the way. Next on the list? Schedule an appointment with a developmental pediatrician. If we use insurance it's approx 6+ month wait. If we go to someone who doesn't take insurance it's much faster, but much more pricey. We are lucky in that we have a number of top childrens hospitals in the area.
