Whew!  MIL here for M day weekend.  I got her a giving tree charm and told her it was because I don't know of a anyone more giving.  Absolutely true. I don't. Type A MIL does get on my nerves, but she is a warm loving woman who loves me no matter what. Many other moms would have been put of by her only child marrying a woman who has seizures and MS but she was not.  She embraced me from the beginning.  She had been through a number of miscarriages (7) and learned she was pregnant while on the adoption wait before my husband came along.

We have had GREAT weather here and I've been loving it!  It hasn't been too hot which is fantastic and I've been loving life.  I applied for a part-time job :-).  Go me go!  Told them I'd like to start in September.

We've been looking and looking for the place we would like to move to.  I don't know if you've ever been in the situation where you move somewhere because of your spouses job, the location chosen seems like a good one in that it has good schools, parks, libraries, nice township amenities, etc.  However, what you can't tell is that the area is VERY cliquey.  You don't realize when you are working full time and all you do is walk to the train station go to work and walk home, but THEN you have a baby or in my case adopt a baby and you realize.  It's now been 6 years and I'm only just now making friends and I've been working my butt of to make some.

The sticking point is that my MIL is getting more and more needy and we can't be there since we're an hour and a half away.  So either we have to have her rent an apartment in our area but she can't afford our area. We can barely afford it, or we move into a new house with an in-law suite type thing.
