We had M-O-R-E snow today. Making it a 3 day weekend. This coming weekend weather forecasters are saying there will be a nor'easter. Sigh :-(. Enough w/the snow all ready. Mother Nature really doesn't like the Philadelphia area this winter.
My husbands godmother who his family views as his grandmother is not doing well, he went to visit this weekend. She was somewhat lucid, but isn't sure if she even knew who he was. My MIL said today she's not lucid. Now we're just waiting. She is 96 so she has lived a good long life.
I got the foster adoption paperwork in the mail, and apparently in PA unless the bio parents have given up rights the youngest a child can't be adopted through foster care is age 8 (that was my interpretation). The surrounding states? NJ and DE are easier, but you have to live in that state. Now, I sent away for regular domestic adoption information. They did list their fees for home studies and they were reasonable.
I did talk to my husband about the 2 mothers in the household thing and I listed my concerns. He said we would talk to her about it before we did anything to make sure she understood all boundaries. And we probably wouldn't be pursuing a sibling for 2 years. That leaves me thinking that I'll be 42 and my husband will be 44. Will expectant mothers be put off by that? Will that be viewed as too old? I think I'll not bring it up for a while because we are in the midst of getting debt paid off. Once that is done, I'll discuss moving it up. Although I have no idea what kindergarten will be like.
As for me? I'm in the process of straightening and de-cluttering my "office" area. It's not much of a computer area since it's really just a laptop and printer that shares space with our exercise equipment. However, I did get a new filing cabinet that LOCKS :-) so little hands will not undo what file organization I have and I already mentioned the desk I chose. With my husband being away last week where he had to go to the west coast and that time difference wreaked havoc w/his sleep cycle, then grandmother, and now the snow. My new desk has not happened.
