Kindergarten!

Today is Day 1 of kindergarten!  WOW.  A lot to take in, a lot to keep track of.  If I'm feeling overwhelmed I can't imagine out stressed out the SWW is.  She said she LOVED kindergarten.  It's kind of odd because I have more time for myself since she is in school every day and has a compliment program 3 days a week making her day until 3 o'clock MW&F.

I am VERY proud of her.  AND I found myself so sad today after she left.  I'm so used to my days being all about being the SWWs mommy.

On another subject we have been talking about moving for a while, investigating areas and so on.  A house on our street sold for far less than we paid, and had EVERY single update possible.  My husband and I are doing the "couch to 5K" running thing and I went running this morning and ran into a neighbor.  I learned that the house down the street so for so little since the couple is getting a divorce and the wife just wanted to unload the house so they undersold :-(.  Unfortunately, we bought during the big housing boom 10 years ago and are facing the fact that we will probably take a loss on our house which does not thrill us.  I think we have come to terms with staying in this house (unless a job situation happens for my husband) for the next 4 or 5 years.  But that is 4 or 5 years where we don't do any major updates or spend a lot of money on the home because know we won't get that money back when we do sell.  It will be painting, installing light fixtures, and maintaining.
